District 5 Animal Alliance is a volunteer based experienced 501(c)(3) welfare advocate group that focuses on facilitating care and placement of dogs at risk of euthanasia from area shelters and pounds.
How We Help
Paving the Way to a Better Tomorrow by Housing the Homeless
Our rescue is an all-volunteer-based organization whose main aim is to save, rehabilitate, and adopt homeless dogs in Detroit.

Being strictly foster-based gives us an opportunity to evaluate and set up the dogs for success prior to placing them in adoptive homes.
​
The majority of our animals are from municipal animal shelters and ones found in the streets.
​
Our goal is to make this experience positive for our adopters and to know that by adopting they are making a difference in the lives of these animals.
