Founder & President

I am a practicing physician, entrepreneur, and avid animal LOVER. Volunteering at Detroit Animal Care has fueled my passion to help the homeless dogs in the city. My goal is to improve the lives of shelter Detroit dogs one dog at a time.

Adoption Coordinator

I'm a Navy Veteran who pursued healthcare and worked as an EMT. I now juggle my work in finance for the Army and my love and passion for animals. I have 3 dogs named Murphy, Winfred, and Matilda along with a cat named Kali. I want to help those who can't help themselves!

Rajan Telang

Treasurer

Raj is the Director of Regulatory Affairs at DTE Energy and is a certified public accountant. He is excited to be part of Detroit District 5 Animal Alliance Board. Raj and his wife Susan both graduated from Wayne State University and have been long supporters of Wayne State and other organizations in Detroit.

I’m an animal advocate through and through. I left my job in health care after 20 years and became the manager of 4 local grooming salons. I will always be the voice for the voiceless and go any lengths to protect them. I specialize in orphaned puppies needing neonatal care. My focus is specifically helping dogs in Detroit where the need is so great. I have several fur babies of my own who are great foster siblings to our fosters.

Jen considers herself the ultimate matchmaker. Helping people find careers and matching puppies with their forever families. She is very active volunteering at DACC and is passionate about saving as many dogs from euthanasia or bad situations as possible.
